Blog Navigation Tips
I want to make my blog as accessible as possible! This page explains the top three ways to navigate Abby Epplett, Historian. If you have ideas on how improve navigation of the blog, contact me using the information found on my LinkedIn profile.
Scrolling the Main Feed
To view posts chronologically from newest to oldest, navigate to the homepage by selecting this link or by selecting the text Abby Epplett, Historian at the top of the page above the section that begins “This blog contains…” Select the title of the post to read the full post, just like you would do on a search page of Chrome, DuckDuckGo, Bing, or other search engines.
Search
On the upper right corner of any page, select the magnifying glass icon. This opens the search box. Type in your keyword, and press the [Enter] key or select [Search] button on the upper right corner. The Search button will not light up until you have typed a keyword into the textbox. Select the magnifying glass again to close the search box. This search is powered by Google but may not be as accurate as a regular search engine.
Labels & Blog Archives
Select the three lines button on the upper left of the page to open the Labels & Blog Archives panel. Note: At this time, this button may not be accessible to all screen readers. I appologize for the inconvenience and am working to resolve the issue. Select the “Labels” dropdown menu to view the first ten labels alphabetically. Select “Show More” in the Label dropdown menu and scroll down to view all labels alphabetically. Additionally, labels are added to the bottom of each blog post. Scroll down to the bottom of the blog post and select the label to see all blog posts with the same label. Select the “Blog Archives” dropdown menu to view the latest ten months chronologically. Select “Show More” in the Blog Archives dropdown menu and scroll down to view all months chronologically.
